The SRC will hand out exam treats this Thursday 25 May 2023 at the Steve Biko Lawns from 12-2 pm. The exam treats will entail one pen, a ruler, a notepad, and of course a great-tasting purple cupcake to celebrate purple Thursday. SEE YOU THERE!!

INTERNATIONAL WEEK

2- 7 May 2023

In celebration of Africa Month, the Student Representative Council (SRC) kicked off an exciting and vibrant International Week. International Week seeks to promote and magnify the tongue-twister concept of Internationalisation to the student body. The focus was on Internationalisation through cultural exchange. In collaboration with the International Office, there was the convening of the International Students Forum, the revival of the beloved Language Carousel, and a spirited International Purple Thursday. As the SRC, it is important that we are a part of transforming our students into globally engaged individuals, and we hope to make Internationalisation at Home activities a year long.

The aim of the Earth Day hike is to raise awareness about the importance of preserving our planet's natural resources and promote responsible outdoor recreation.

LEADERSHIP WEEK

Leadership Week is an annual leadership program that the Rhodes bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 SRC embarks on. It aims to generate conversations around leadership and increase participation from the student body for leadership positions. The vision for this year is Reimagining leadership: Promoting the advancement of good leadership from a local to a global perspective, in effort to breed a generation of leaders that are locally impactful and globally engaged. This theme is to commemorate a decade since the passing of the Globally renowned leader Dr. President Nelson Rholihlahla Mandela. We envision to learn from his principles of leadership and learn from how he led a local struggle to international platforms. 7th- 11th August 2023
