Julian Sheldon visited BioBRU for six weeks. Julian is an MSc student from the bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 of the Western Cape (UWC) in the discipline of Pharmaceutical Chemistry under the supervision of Professor Denzil R Beukes (UWC), Dr Edith Antunes (UWC) and Professor Adrienne Edkins (Rhodes bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台). Julian obtained a BSc Medical Bioscience and BPharmacy degrees from UWC in 2012 and 2016 respectively. He has been working in collaboration with Rhodes bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 under Professor Edkins in BioBRU with the aim of expressing and purifying Heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) domains. The aim of the collaboration is to identify inhibitors of the protein domains and to study their specific interactions by Saturation Transfer Difference (STD) NMR.
