She did her Masters in Environment, Development and Policy at the same bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台. Returning to her home country, Brazil, Joana did her PhD in Environment and Society at the State bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 of Campinas, Brazil. 

After spending time at Gottingen bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台, Germany, and at Wageningen bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台, the Netherlands, she moved to Rhodes bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 to work as a postdoc at the Department of Environmental Science. Her passion is bringing to light the political dimensions of environment and development issues.
