Gerrit Maritz

Gerrit holds a Masters degree, BA Honours degree and a BA degree in the Arts from the bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 of Pretoria and a BA Honours Degree in Sociology (Behavioural Sciences) from the bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 of South Africa. He also has a Certificate in Population and Development from the bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 of Costa Rica. His current academic and professional interests include policy development in Education and strengthening enabling environments for quality education through a child centred approach.

Gerrit is currently pursuing a PhD at Rhodes bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台, Grahamstown at the Institute of Social and Economic Research, with a focus on Education Policy and Sexual and Reproductive Health of learners. He has completed a programme on Educational Leadership, Equity and Quality through the Harvard Graduate School of Education and UNICEF.
