Rhodes bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 will be abuzz on Friday, 11 August and Saturday, 12 August 2023, when athletes from the provincial universities converge on campus for the first Eastern Cape Inter- Varsity Sports games since the COVID-19 pandemic.

The two-day event will see sportspeople from Rhodes bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台, Walter Sisulu bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台, bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 of Fort Hare and Nelson Mandela bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 competing in no less than 11 different sports codes. Rhodes bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 Sports Manager, Frans Mamabolo, said the purpose of the event is to
establish and strengthen relations among the four universities with regard to sports, to provide opportunities for students to interact through fun but competitive activities, and to allow for the transfer of knowledge and skills with regards to hosting multi-coded sports events.

“I am so excited that Rhodes bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 will host this year's Inter-Varsity as we are a province that loves sports and cultural activities. We invite all students across the universities participating, staff members, media, and the community of the Eastern Cape to come to watch and enjoy Inter-Varsity as it is back with a bang,” said Mamabolo.

The event also aims to provide a platform for participants to learn best practices from each other, test each university’s sports strength against other universities, and maximise sponsorship potential.
