Supervisor: Dr Iain Paterson, Co-Supervisor: Prof. Steve Compton
Zezethu completed her Honours degree at the bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 of Fort Hare in 2011. She has evaluated the negative effects of Acacia longifolia on indigenous vegetation in a selected site situated outside Grahamstown. She has also worked at Great Fish River Nature Reserve Alien Clearing Project, the project focused on the chemical control of the Opuntia ficus indica, Opuntia stricta and Opuntia aurantiaca as target species. Her current research will focus on discovering an effective biological control agent for Pereskia aculeata, the Barbados gooseberry. P. aculeata will be exposed to Phenrica guerini and Catarhintha schaffneri as two biological control agents. The aim of this study will be to evaluate the success of both biological control agents.
