Donica Walton
Donica Walton is a PhD candidate and Rhodes bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 veteran, having completed most of her qualifications at the institution. Her PhD thesis will explore how antenatal nurses address intimate partner violence and alcohol use during pregnancy. Her research is supervised by Professor Tracey Feltham-King and co-supervised by Distinguished Professor Catriona Macleod.
She was a member of the CSSR from 2020 to 2021 completing her Masters by Thesis titled: the narratives of women in South Africa who use social media to talk about Gender-Based Violence. The thesis was also supervised by Tracey and Catriona. She completed her Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology and Sociology in 2018 and Bachelor of Social Science with Honours in Psychology in 2019 at Rhodes bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台. Her mini thesis in honours was supervised by Ms Yanela Ndabula and titled: women who use and discontinue using long acting reversible contraceptives in the global south.
In 2022, she completed the B. Psychology Equivalent in Psychometry at the bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 of Johannesburg before registering with the HPCSA as an Independent Psychometrist.
