Biographical Details
Fezeka Mkhwane is the Director of the Rhodes bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 Mathematics Education Project (RUMEP), which is located at Rhodes bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 in Makhanda in the Eastern Cape Province.
She also served as the Coordinator of the RUMEP Collegial Cluster Programme from June 2004 to May 2022. The Collegial Cluster Programme establishes communities of practice for mathematics teachers in the parts of the Eastern Cape, where teachers share their skills, knowledge and expertise in order to improve their practice and learning of mathematics.
Before coming to Rhodes bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台, she taught at two Catholic Schools, St Teresa S.S.S. at Sterkspruit and St Joseph's J.S.S.in Mthatha. In total she has a teaching experience of 17 years (from 1987 to 2004) and all these years she was teaching mathematics in the Senior Phase and grade 10 in the FET phase.
She was also seconded to the Presidential Project in Mthatha from 1998 to 2003. The aim of the project was to develop Senior Phase teachers in the teaching of mathematics and science so as to improve learning thereof.
