Associate Professor Helen Kruuse
Helen has taught in the Law Faculty for around 15 years at Rhodes bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台. She lives in Makhanda with her spouse, Jay, and two kids – Ollie and Adam. Helen’s research interests lie in legal ethics and family law, with a particular interest in customary law marriages. She completed her articles in East London at the firm Bate, Chubb and Dickson; worked for two years in legal services at the London Borough of Brent. She has taught in the Department of Private Law, bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 of Cape Town as well as the Department of Public Law and Jurisprudence, bck体育app_bck体育官网下载-二维码平台 of the Western Cape. She is an editor of the South African Law Journal and sits on the board of the International Association of Legal Ethics.
Qualifications: BA, LLB, LLM, PGDHE, PhD (Rhodes)
